Spiralling

20 Sep

Hello! I’m back! My nail polishes still don’t have a home but I couldn’t wait any longer to get them out and start blogging again!

As it’s been about a month since I last did anything more complicated than put a single colour on my nails I decided to ease myself back into the world of nail art with a bit of stamping!

The good thing about having moved is that you get a fresh start and that means I’m making an effort to use some of the polishes that don’t usually make much of an appearance on here but definitely should! It’s like falling in love with my hobby all over again!

I’m looking forward to catching up on all of your blogs over the next few days!

Polishes used:

  • MoYou – Black
  • Barry M – Emerald Green
  • Sinful Colours – Call You Later

House Move Nails!

29 Aug

I just bought a house…it’s all very exciting and grown up and scary!  We moved in last Friday and I never want to leave it! However, we have no Internet for a few weeks and my nail polish is still not unpacked! Needless to say my nails are in a sorry state at the moment…I painted these a few weeks ago and this is what time and a house move has done to them!

I don’t think my nails have ever been this bad! But having an amazing new house that’s all mine definitely makes up for it!  Back soon with prettier nails!

Nebula

20 Aug

I had absolutely no idea where I was going when I started these nails….I just fished out a tonne of polishes I wanted to use, a make up sponge and got to work.  I quite like the finished result, they kind of remind me of nebula with all the purples and shimmery gold colours!

  • Sinful Colours – Snow Me White

Zebra or Tiger?

13 Aug

So when I’d finish these nails I couldn’t figure out whether they were zebra print or tiger print, I mean aren’t they just the same!? Don’t the stripes on a zebra kinda look the same as those on a tiger? Zebra….tiger….who knows! Yeah, my brain is having a “weird place” day!

Anyway…..I don’t use this base coat anywhere near often enough! I love the Nails Inc Sprinkles polishes and this one is definitely my favourite with the bright blue and purple/pink/gold glitters. I was tempted just to leave my nails plain, but the blog…y’know! Something about them just screamed for gold stamps over the top, so there you go!

Striping Tape Frenzy

6 Aug

I felt like I hadn’t done a proper striping tape mani for ages and hence these nails were born!  It literally took AGES to place the tape for these, and ages to take it off…so long that the polish got a little tacky and started pulling a bit with the tape removal so they’re not as neat as I would have liked.  I also gave up by the time I got to my pinkie and just whipped out the dotting tool!!

  • Nails Inc – Bruton Place
  • Nails Inc – Notting Hill Carnival

OMD2 – Roses

25 Jul

I knew when I started this challenge that I’d never be able to manage a post for every single category, I don’t think I realised how few I’d actually be able to do though!! Real life sucks! How dare it get in the way of me and my nails!  Hmph!

So, without further delay, here is my contribution for day 25 – roses.  I’ve not had ANY TIME at all to paint my nails this month so the best I could come up with for this day was a quick stamp using my konad plates.

How cute is Mr Seal?  I couldn’t resit posing with him as he matched the colour of my polish almost perfectly!!

Polishes used:

  • Nails Inc – Seymour Walk
  • Rimmel – Sea Green
  • Rimmel – Glitter Top Coat
  • Nails Inc – Matte Top Coat

OMD2 – Animal Print

21 Jul

This day of the challenge was perfect for finally getting round to using my MoYou Pro Plate 05.  I was feeling a bit ‘goth’ when I did these so went with a red and black theme and spiderweb prints!

The red and black clingfilm mani alone was gorgeous, but with silver spiderwebs and a matte top coat I think it looks pretty much perfect for Halloween – shame it’s the middle of July!!

Polishes used:

  • Rimmel – Exotica
  • MoYou – Blck
  • China Glaze – Stone Cold
